What's for Dinner Tomorrow--It's Good and Easy

I know that many of us just get so tired of cooking and thinking of something good to eat, that is EASY and not too expensive. I call this dish, the anyone can have anything they want for dinner. So here is the recipe.

Crock-Pot London Broil

2 1/2 lb London Broil 1 pkg Lipton Onion soup 3 cloves of garlic 1 can beef broth pepper

Score the London Broil with a knife about 1" apart and about 1/2" deep. Pour a small amount of beef broth in bottom of crock pot. Add the London Broil to the pot. Grate the garlic over the beef, pushing it into the cuts into the meat. Pepper the meat. Sprinkle the Lipton Onion Soup over the meat, add the rest of the beef broth. Cook for 4-6 hours.

This is the reason why I say that this beef can be used for many things for dinner. Make burritos. Simply add salsa, sour cream, and avocado slices with some of the beef (It should shred with a fork) and VOILA, burritos.

Some people don't want burritos. No problem. Heat some BBQ sauce in the microwave. Shred some beef, add to the BBQ sauce and put onto a hamburger bun with any condiments you like. A BBQ Sandwich. No muss no fuss.

A more traditional meal would be to make mash potatoes. Make gravy out of the juice in the crock pot. Put the gravy on the potatoes and top with the beef. Make a salad and you have a great meal winter, spring, summer, or fall.

For those family members who don't like salsa, but love BBQ sauce, this doesn't create a lot of work for mom. And mom or dad, can offer a choice for dinner, when most times that just doesn't work. Any leftovers can be used for lunch or dinner the next day.

What can you create with this great meal in a pot???

OUT OF THE HOSPITAL

Instead of posting pictures of Czech Republic and Austria, I have had a different summer adventure. After having a "catch" in the back of my throat I went to see an Ears, Nose and Throat Dr. who saw a growth on my left tonsil. He suggested that I have tonsil surgery and see a radiologist after the surgery. After the surgery I didn't get any response from the Dr. regarding prognosis. The nurse finally called and said I had cancer. My wonderful friend Vanessa found me a great Dr. who is the Vice-Chair of the Ears, Nose and Throat at UC Davis, Dr. Donald. He has performed 2 surgeries on me....and now I'm cancer free and recovering. I have so many family members and friends that have prayed for me and helped to take care of me. But most of all my husband and my children have been my inspiration and my "safe-place". So with great JOY and a NEW found LOVE of LIFE.....I'm glad to tell my story and to have a fun time on this blog. My friend Shelley and I will be painting, sewing and crafting many items for you to see, copy, buy or just enjoy. We will also be posting recipes....because we love to cook too.

Oooolaaaaalaaaaa

Well, It's been awhile since I have blogged....life has so many twists and turns. That being a part of a blog is kind of fun, but time consuming. This weekend we had a fabulous time at my niece's wedding. She was beautiful and her groom handsome. (Did I tell you that he has Paul Newman eyes?) Our sister and brother-in-law put on a real nice shin dig and we all had a great time. Here are the dad and daughter walking up the aisle. Simply beautiful. The day wasn't too hot and the bride was beautiful.

New Scor-Tape (Double-Sided Tape)

At a recent crop I had some experienced scrappers test our new Scor-Tape. Bev, Pat and Sue used the tape while they were making some beautiful stamped cards. They tested the 1/8" width Scor-Tape. The feedback that I received was that it was very sticky, but could be moved if not pressed down hard. The 1/8" width tape the girls felt was great for making cards. The packaging of the tape states that it can be used for embossing, iris folding, ribbons and micro beads as well as cards, scrapbooking, boxes, foils, and glitter. So we are going to test it. It is tape and we are sure that it will hold the powder,
but will it still stick when we heat it with an embossing gun. We feel confident that this tape will hold elements such as glitter and micro beads. We will keep you posted. Stay tuned. The girls also felt that the price point and value were a great buy. Soon you will be able to order on http://www.apaperbakery.com/ . We also have 1/4" width Scor-Tape. Because this tape is clear, the girls loved to use it with ribbon. Finally, a thin width tape that can be used with ribbon and it STICKS! Woo Hoo!!

Life Is Ever Changing

And I am learning to roll with it...After the closing of our 3rd retail scrapbook store in Northern California, I, like others, must find a way to make some money in this economy. Many of the retail scrapbook stores in our area have closed and the dedicated scrappers need supplies. Our website www.apaperbakery.com has products that are new, products we can't scrap without, and old favorites. Please check out our site and have fun shopping.

My friend Shelley is also on this site and is a wonderful artist and cardmaker. The two of us love crafts, art and must feed our creative side or we go crazy!!! (Of course, some may say we are already there......we know who you are!!)

We will have videos that will show you how to do all types of crafts. Of course, at times, we will use our adorable grandkids in our videos, so be prepared for Cuteness Galore!! Our Craft Motto: There is never a crafting mistake, only a crafting opportunity!!!

I hope you will enjoy our website and find our blogs educational and most of all fun. We also want to hear from you!!
